Imperial Contracting partnered with Linc Housing to redevelop a former Holiday Inn in Long Beach into 135 supportive housing units, including 15 ADA units. As part of California’s Project Homekey initiative, the 4-story building is being fully transformed to expand housing for individuals at risk of homelessness.

Zephyr will provide modern private studios, outdoor green spaces, case management offices, and on-site amenities that support long-term stability and community well-being. Backed by state and county funding, the project is a model of adaptive reuse that delivers safe, dignified homes where residents can start fresh.
Turning a hotel into a supportive housing community meant balancing tight timelines, rigorous safety standards, and community expectations. Through efficient construction and strong collaboration, Imperial Contracting delivered a project that not only met the challenge but also reflects our mission: building meaningful spaces that change lives.
